For users with a single nephrostomy catheter, Nephrostomy UK’s Nexus Single Inlet Drainage System (NX1S) has everything you need, all in one convenient box. The kit includes: bag fixation, providing you with the devices needed to wear your bag on your waist/hip/thigh, four individually wrapped sterile drainage bags, and two flexible luer lock extension tubes.

This drainage system is also compatible for users who have a bilateral nephrostomy (two catheters), although you will need to use two drainage bags, one for each nephrostomy catheter. If you require additional drainage bags, they are also available here: Nexus Drainage Bags.

Nexus Single Inlet 560ml Bags (x4)
Nexus Nephrostomy Bags have a capacity of 560ml, are initially wrapped and sterile, and feature a soft fabric backing. They are available in two formats, with a single (this product), or twin inlet, and are also compatible with the included luer lock extension tubes. All Nexus Nephrostomy bags feature a night bag connector as standard, simply remove the cap and attach your night bag inlet tubing to the outlet tube of your Nexus Bag. Then open the 360-degree lever tap on your Nexus Bag to allow link drainage. Each Nexus Bag can be worn for up to 7 days and should be changed at least every 5 -7 days per the Drug Tariff Guidelines.

Fixation (Waist Belt, Waist Suspenders, & Thigh Strap)
Depending on where you like to wear your nephrostomy bag, this kit offers a few options:

Waist: For those who like to wear their bag around the waist, the included waist belt and suspenders can be used. The strong elasticated design of the belt can be cut down to size to find the perfect fit. Once in place the suspender can be used to attach your bag anywhere around the belt, wherever is most comfortable for you. Two suspenders are included in this kit, so those with a bilateral nephrostomy can fixate two bags if required.

Thigh: If you prefer to attach your bag around the thigh, the included thigh strap can be used. The strong but lightweight strap features internal silicone strips, preventing unwanted slipping or folding – ultimately helping your bag stay in place. Once placed around your thigh, simply feed the smaller second strap through the eyelet holes within your bag and use the hook & loop fastening system to attach it to your thigh strap.

Extension Tubes (x2)
For those who require a longer inlet tube, this kit includes two extension tubes. The soft flexible extension tubes feature twist to lock luer connectors so you can be confident it won’t leak.
